At Cherokee Log we only sell high quality logs and lumber. Our featured log is the red heart cypress which has much tighter and closer growth rings than white cypress that results in a stronger and more durable log for home wall exteriors. Red heart cypress trees grow much slower than white cypress so the growth rings are tighter and closer together which leads to a more durable log. We feature nine unique log profiles to choose from including Swedish Cope round log, Round ceiling log and Corner Post octagon. We offer a wide variety of log sizes up to 12” in diameter and 32’ in length.
We also offer our very own Cherokee Lam-Log, a strong and durable laminated log that is the driest and most stable log on the market today. Cherokee Lam-Logs are engineered laminated beams that are milled into various log shapes. Glued under high pressure the Cherokee Lam-Log ends up being stronger than the wood itself. Dried to an average moisture content of 12% the Lam-Log is drier and than conventional framing lumber and gives the house frame excellent stability.
